WEEK 1 : EQ Spring Health Challenge

Let’s discover our first week of the EQ Spring Health Challenge by HappynGood

MONDAY : Let’s start the week by concentrating on beauty

Wake up half an hour earlier than usual, drink a large glass of lukewarm water and take some time to try out a few stretches.

cow pose

Cow pose: inhale and let the belly down to the ground by digging your back. Open the chest and move back your shoulders.

cat pose

Cat pose : Exhale and round your back. Push your back to the ceiling and move the navel towards your spine.

child pose

Child pose : As you exhale, contract the abdominals and tilt your pelvis backwards. Bring your hands forward, bend your torso forward, bring the forehead to the floor and relax completely.

TUESDAY : why not incorporate some good habits into your daily routine

You could try out a vegetarian day.

THURSDAY : Yoga / Learn and practice the sun salutation.

In yoga, the sun salutation (suryanamaskar) is used to warm up the muscles. This sequence is made up of 10 positions (asanas) and is great for harmonising the body and spirit, toning muscles, and improving respiration and cardiac rhythms. It’s also used to reinforce the abdominal wall, eliminate toxins from the body and stimulate concentration.

Steps
1: Stand upright, with straight legs and your feet together.
2: Raise your arms, with your thumbs linking together, and stretch backwards.
3. Lower your head towards your knees, with your hands on the floor.
4. Make your back flat, with your hands on the floor or by your calves.
5: Hands on the floor, your head facing inwards, your body should be making a reverse V with your legs stretched and your heels on the floor.
6: Chest on the floor, bottom lifted, legs slightly bent
7: Hands flat on the floor, straighten the chest, head facing upwards and the backs of your feet on the floor
8: Return to downward dog position (step 5)
9: Repeat step 3
10: Repeat step 2

FRIDAY : Do something good for the environment

Taking care of yourself is all well and good, but don’t forget to look after our precious planet, too! Do something good for the environment by travelling to work on your bike, for example.
If you really can’t get around on foot or by bicycle, then why not take public transport or share a car? If you really don’t have any other alternative other than driving your own, then be flexible! ☺
Each of our actions and gestures, however small, still help contribute to protecting the environment!

SATURDAY : Take the time to cook healthy food

Take the time to cook lovely healthy meals and smoothies, great for both your overall health and your waistline!

Matcha Tea Sorbet Teatox

  • 1 ml matcha tea

SUNDAY : Take your time!

It’s not easy to fit exercise into your busy daily personal and professional life. That’s why the weekend is the perfect time to get some fresh air and great exercise!
Invite your friends, your partner or your kids for a sporty outing: whether you’re going for a jog, a bike ride, or even roller-skating. You can even start doing some yoga, when you’re sure to already be in a thoroughly good mood! (Especially the sun salutation which you started practicing on Thursday ☺)
